[nectar_dropcap color=””]T[/nectar_dropcap]he 14th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) took place from December 6 – 13, 2017 at Madinat Jumeirah, the home of DIFF.
The festival saw thousands of cinema-goers, actors, directors, producers, writers Every year DIFF presents new and exciting cinema from the Arab world and beyond, introducing audiences to fresh new talent and original and distinctive filmmaking, alongside a diverse events programme at the Dubai Film Market (DFM) featuring some of the most creative talents working in the industry today.
The 14th edition showcased 140 feature films, shorts and documentaries from 51 countries, including 50 world and international premieres and 81 MENA premieres. The films, crafted in more than 38 languages, populate DIFF’s Arab and Emirati competitions, and its out-of-competition segments dedicated to children, the Arab world, Virtual Reality and cinema from around the globe.
BeAnotherLab took part in this edition of the DIFF presenting “Haytham”, an inmersive virtual experience about a sirian refugee living in Paris, created for the Library of Ourselves project.
